Expecting

Yes, we are accepting Newborns!

If you are expecting and looking for a Pediatrician, we invite you to consider Genesis Pediatrics, LLC.

Having a baby is one of the most rewarding times of your life. At Genesis Pediatrics, we are dedicated to helping you care for your child - keeping your baby happy and healthy.

Before Your Baby is Born

Prenatal Visits to our office by expectant parents are encouraged and can be arranged with the Pediatrician(s) accepting newborns. Please call our office at 426-4100 to get more information. This visit allows you to:

  • Find out where we are
  • Meet our staff
  • Have any of your baby care questions answered
  • Inform us of any family health problems that run in either side of your family that might affect your baby

Below are some important baby care issues to think about before the baby is born:

Feeding your Baby

We strongly encourage all mothers to consider breast feeding their baby. Breast feeding is the healthiest nutrition for babies. Please refer to our For Parents link for more information on Breast feeding. Should this not be your choice, however, we will do all we can to support you and find the right formula for your baby.

Circumcision If you wish to have your baby boy circumcised, this will be done by your Obstetrician before your baby leaves the hospital. There is no clear or definitive medical need to circumcise your baby, however, most parents prefer this choice for social or religious reasons.

Hospital Affiliations

Our Pediatricians care for babies born at the following hospitals:

  • Strong Memorial Hospital
  • Highland Hospital
  • Park Ridge Hospital
  • Rochester General Hospital

Babies born at other area hospitals are also welcome to come to our office after birth. We ask all new mothers to call our office the first working day after discharge to establish contact and help determine the first visit. All newborns are seen in the first 7-10 days and many at 2-3 days of age.
