We at Genesis Pediatrics have always viewed ourselves as the medical home for our patients. Our goal is to help parents be prepared to meet the challenges that face all families, and to help raise the next generation to be healthy, strong, and compassionate adults.
Health insurance coverage has always been an important part of that challenge. Many of you are facing the time of year when you must make decisions about your health insurance coverage for the upcoming year of 2015. To that end we hope to assist our families by listing the insurance companies that we currently accept and outlining how different plans are handled at our practice.
Currently we accept the following Health Insurance plans:

Excellus Tricare Standard
MVP University of Rochester AHP
Government plans:
Blue Choice Option Medicaid
Child Health Plus MVP Option
Family Health Plus
Since changes in health insurance are evolving, we will do our best to address situations as they arise. We will also strive to keep this information up-to-date on our website in the Forms & Policies section under insurance and update you on changes through the Genesis Blog. Always feel free to call and ask if we accept a specific plan that you are considering.
Our Practice’s time of service expectations:
- HMO and Hybrid plans require that the full co-pay is made at time of service.
- High Deductible plans require a $35.00 minimum payment at time of service.
- Government plans do not require a payment at time of service.
Please be prepared to make the appropriate payment on the day of the appointment or you may be charged a $10.00 lack of payment fee. We have a number of alternatives for you to make on-time payments so that you may avoid this additional charge. Again, it is our goal to help all of our families raise their children to be the best that they can be. Thank you for your trust in us.
