Forms
The weather may not have caught up yet – but summer is just around the corner. Summer Camps, sports and many other activities require forms completed by our office for your child to participate. Our office policy is to complete forms within 7 business days. It is our goal to be sure your child is able to enjoy summer activities. Please know your deadlines and submit forms as soon as possible. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

We now have more flu shots. Please call to make your appointment.

What are we seeing?
A stomach virus seems to be a popular complaint these last weeks. For at home care suggestions please read our GAP pack. This can be located on our web site under the Parent Corner button. If your child has had been vomiting or had diarrhea and develops dry lips or mouth or hasn’t urinated in 12 hours, please send our nursing staff a message on the portal or give us a call. Wishing you and yours a safe, happy and healthy holiday season!
Health Insurance
Health insurance coverage has always been an important issue to our patient families. To that end we hope to assist our families by listing the insurance companies that we currently accept and outlining the different expectations associated with these plans.
Currently we accept the following Health Insurance plans:
Commercial Plans
Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CIGNA, Excellus, MVP, RMSCO, Tricare Standard, United Health Care
Government Plans
Blue Choice Option, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, Medicaid, MVP Option,
**Always feel free to call and ask about a specific plan**
Our Practice’s Time of Service Expectations:
• HMO and Hybrid plans require that the co-pay is made at time of service.
• High Deductible plans require a $25.00 payment at time of service.
• Government plans do not require a payment at time of service.
It is important to your family that you fully understand your coverage and know when you may or may not have an uncovered or under covered service that may result in a balance that your family is responsible for.

Invitation
Genesis Pediatrics is hosting Financial Architects at our office on November 8th, 6:30pm. Financial Architects will be presenting SpecialCare℠. SpecialCare℠ is a program to help families develop a life care plan—a coordinated program of future care planning, financial and legal strategies for a loved one who has a disability or special needs.
1 – How are you planning for the health care costs of a special needs child?
2 – Who will take care of that child should the primary caregivers no longer be able to do so?
3 – How will your special needs child be financially supported as an adult?
4 – How will you coordinate your own retirement planning needs with the financial needs of your child?
5 – Are your decisions risking your child’s government benefits?
Many people are overwhelmed by the complexity of these issues. Join us on November 8th to learn about strategies to ease some of these concerns. Please call 426-4100 to let us know if you plan to attend.

News Makers
We have added a “News Maker” board to the check-out area. If your son or daughter receives an award, is in the paper or is recognized in anyway, please bring in the picture or article and we will hang it on our board for a month. Let’s celebrate our children’s successes!
